Ashiga Surendiran
Work-Study Student

Ashiga is a 4th year Western University student pursuing an Honours Specialization in Health Sciences. With a strong interest in child health, disability, and healthcare, Ashiga has gained research experience exploring quality participation among young children with disabilities, as well as the experiences of individuals living with musculoskeletal conditions. These experiences have strengthened her interest in understanding how supportive and inclusive environments can positively shape health and well-being. Through her work in the Child Health and Physical Activity Lab, Ashiga hopes to further contribute to research that promotes meaningful participation and healthy development among children. Outside of research, she is involved in oral health advocacy, volunteers within her community, and hopes to pursue a future career in healthcare. In her spare time, Ashiga enjoys going to the gym, playing badminton with family and friends, and enjoying some good bubble tea.
