Danya Alnakash

Danya is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Western University pursuing an honours degree in Medical Sciences. With a strong passion for research and healthcare, Danya is interested in improving health outcomes for young children. She has gained valuable experience teaching children in educational settings, as well as supporting active play while at a children’s sports camp. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to child health and development. Through her involvement with the Child Health and Physical Activity Lab, Danya hopes to explore the intersection of physical activity and healthcare. Growing up and being active in a variety of sports, she understands the importance of how active living positively contributes to one’s overall well-being. Outside of academics and research, she enjoys baking, travelling, and basketball.
