Research Volunteer

Michelle Lu

Michelle is a third-year undergraduate student at Western University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. She is an aspiring pediatric physiotherapist with a strong passion for child development and the role of physical activity in promoting growth, health, and well-being. Michelle has gained extensive experience working with children of all ages through her summers as a camp supervisor, where she integrates her commitment to physical literacy and activity into program design and delivery. She has also volunteered in pediatric clinical settings, where she developed a deeper understanding of rehabilitation practices and the importance of empathy in care. Through her involvement in the Child Health & Physical Activity Lab, Michelle hopes to expand her knowledge of pediatric rehabilitation and contribute to research that supports children’s physical, cognitive, and social development. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time outdoors, going for long walks and runs, and being active with her friends and family.
